Christopher M. Crane inducted into the Currency Hall of Fame

BOSTON, MA – May 12, 2015 – The International Association of Currency Affairs (IACA) has elected Chris Crane, former vice president at Crane Currency, to the Currency Hall of Fame. The ceremony took place on Monday at the Currency Conference in Vancouver. The International Association of Currency Affairs (IACA) is a non-profit association dedicated to the currency industry.

“Chris’s induction into the Currency Hall of Fame is a well-deserved recognition of his contributions,” said Stephen P. DeFalco, Chief Executive Officer of Crane. “He had a large role in building a culture focused on quality and customer service that serves Crane well today.”

Chris held many positions during his 44 years at Crane but he truly found his passion in the manufacturing and selling of currency paper. Chris recognized that the company’s future lay with developing new security solutions that would be offered within the paper and that to be successful these new offerings must not upset the printing processes.

When he retired in 2001, Chris held the position of Vice President, Currency Papers Division, and he stood as the leader of a team of dedicated employees who skillfully transformed a company from a paper business to a high technology security products manufacturer.
