AB SVENSKA PASS, is located within the secure area of Crane AB, Tumba Sweden. The same site where Crane Currency manufactures the passports, guaranteeing the production integrity of a single one supply chain.

Within the Swedish travel documents are advanced graphic design elements and security features, combined with the latest state-of-the-art chip and biometric technology.

CHIP SYMBOL (e-document) – This symbol can be found on all travel documents that contain a contactless chip for storing biometric information in accordance with international standards and specifications from the ICAO. The information stored in the chip is protected by using BAC (Basic Access Control) and EAC (Extended Access Control). The CA certificate from the Swedish National Police Board (RPS), is used to ensure that it is issued by Sweden. The digital signature in the chip also ensures that the content in the chip has not been modified.

Among all of security features used in the Swedish Travel Document, one of the most important is the LASER PERFORATION. This technology is used during the book manufacturing stage (to inscribe the passport number) and at the issuing stage (to inscribe the portrait of the passport holder).

The passport paper contains a demetallized and uv-fluorescent security thread with micro and macro text.
