TUMBA

Since 1755

A historic center of banknote paper production

Founded by the Swedish Central Bank (Sveriges Riksbank) in 1755, Tumba Bruk is one of the oldest banknote paper production facilities still in operation. The facility in Tumba was acquired by Crane Currency in 2002 and has since been the location of its international operations with approximately 300 employees. Today, the location supports a modern banknote paper mill and is home to Crane Currency’s renowned banknote design team.

The Tumba paper mill is part of an area with many historical buildings and green areas.
