Crane and Perum Peruri sign agreement to establish production facility in Indonesia
WASHINGTON, D.C. – October 26, 2015 – Crane Currency, a global producer of currency products, and The Indonesian Government Security Printing and Minting Corporation (Perum Peruri), have agreed to explore a joint venture for the manufacture of banknote security features in support of Peruri’s intention to setup a banknote paper mill in Karawang, Indonesia. The signing of the memorandum of understanding was witnessed by Joko Widodo, the President of the Republic of Indonesia.
The agreement initiating this partnership was signed by Mr. Prasetio, Chief Executive Officer of Perum Peruri and Mr. Stephen P. DeFalco, Chief Executive Officer of Crane. The facility will be located on the premises owned by Perum Peruri in Karawang, Indonesia. Crane will provide the materials required by the facility to enable final production of banknote security features.
