The Buck Starts Here


In 1801 Zenas Crane opened a papermaking business in Dalton, Massachusetts. In 1879, W. Murray Crane secured the company’s first order to produce US currency paper. The company is extremely proud of its now over 140 year history of providing US currency paper to the United States Treasury Department’s Bureau of Engraving & Printing. The Dalton campus which includes two paper mills, raw material processing mills and a R&D facility also hosts a museum that is open to the public. 


The Dalton campus employs approximately 350 associates and has a long history of strong community involvement.
