Since 1801

This historic manufacturing site located in Dalton, Massachusetts is also the headquarters for Crane Currency. Established in 1801 by Zenas Crane, the Dalton campus today includes two paper mills, raw material processing facilities and a Research & Development facility. It is from this site that in 1879, W. Murray Crane secured the company’s first order to produce US currency paper. The company is extremely proud of its now over 140 year history of providing US currency paper to the United States Treasury Department’s Bureau of Engraving & Printing. 

The Dalton headquarters and production facilities employ approximately 350 associates and enjoys a long history of strong community involvement.
