First banknote issued with MOTION SURFACE®
The first banknote to use MOTION SURFACE is the Kyrgyz Republic 2,000 Som commemorative banknote, which has just been issued to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the independence of the Kyrgyz Republic and the establishment of its national currency.

Uzbekistan Issues New High Denomination Featuring RAPID®
The Central Bank of Uzbekistan has issued a new banknote, the 50,000 Som. The design on the front of the banknote features the top of the Ezgulik Arch on Independence Square in the city of Tashkent.
